Vincentian Schools Raise over €18,000 this Christmas
The Vincentian Family are a very proud group this Christmas. As of today, two Vincentian family schools, St. Vincent’s Castleknock College and St. Paul’s College Raheny, have raised over €18,000 this December in support of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, DePaul, and Vincentian Lay Missionaries. Congratulations and well done to the students and teachers for their hard work and thank you to the kind generosity of all the parents, friends, and families who kindly donated to their collections.
St. Paul’s College
On Friday 25th November, 30 senior students and 4 teachers slept outside to raise vital funds and awareness for the homeless communities of Ireland. The students have raised nearly €1700 so far which will be given to the schools chosen charity, DePaul.
The St. Paul’s Christmas Jumper Day raised €1,500 for SVP. Here are some of the best dressed of the day!
St. Vincent’s Castleknock College
The First Year sleep in, which was organised by the Castleknock College Ember Team, took place on Monday the 5th of December. The event raised over €6,500! The proceeds were split between DePaul and Vincentian Lay Missionaries.
The annual SVP Christmas Tree Sale on Saturday 3rd December raised €3,410.23 for the Dublin 15 SVP and will contribute towards their efforts to alleviate the effects of hardship in the community this Christmas and winter. Over forty Transition Year students helped to organise, publicise and run the day.
