Summer Update from Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM)
VLM – Summer 2023
VLM is delighted to report that we have had a busy summer with a total of 22 volunteers travelling to Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania. This has only been possible thanks to our most valuable partnerships with the Vincentian Fathers and Daughters of Charity. Please read on below for a snapshot of their experiences and if you would like more information about volunteering feel free to contact us at info@vlm.ie.

Finally, VLM currently has five teachers volunteering at the De Paul School in Songea, Tanzania. The teachers have been running capacity-building training workshops with the Tanzanian teachers. They have also been teaching English, Maths, Science, Business and French as well as playing sports and games, singing and dancing with the children, including a Siege of Ennis Tanzanian-style! At the weekend the volunteers took a trip with Brother Leopold to Lake Malawi, having a well-deserved couple of days at the beach. Groups of teachers are very welcome to apply now for our summer 2024 volunteering programme.
