This year is the third edition of the International SSVP Women’s Day, set up in 2020, on the 200th birth anniversary of Amélie Ozanam. This day is celebrated in tribute to each and every SSVP woman who have taken part, and still do so today, in the ministry of Conferences, bringing their love to their neighbours and their faith to the most needy. 189th Anniversary of the Founding of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul   France, April 23rd, 1833. A group of young university students, faced with social inequalities and injustices, decided to take action in the hope of changing the world. During 2021 a total of just over 191,000 calls for help were made to the Society throughout the country. This is 12% up on the number of calls in 2020 and the highest on record for the Society.
