VLM Volunteers in Tanzania

VLM Volunteers in Tanzania Two secondary school teachers are currently volunteering with Vincentian Lay Missionaries in Songea in the south of Tanzania. Luke and Gráinne are living with the Vincentian Fathers and are teaching in the De Paul secondary school and in the Songea deaf school. They brought over an Irish flag and have been given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home in Tanzania. Vincentian Mission Overseas

Update from Ethiopia Fr. Stephen Monaghan CM The Ambo Lazarist Deaf School was opened in 2012 by the Vincentian Community, with the support of the Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM), Castleknock College, Misean Cara and Ethiopia Deaf Project. The schools strives to provide a quality education to those who would otherwise potentially not receive any education, and be excluded from society.
